Shakedown

We sailed to Brighton on Monday to try out everything on Hurkur before our big cruise, and our trip there was great, with tide and wind with us, (what there was of it) 3.5 hours. Dutch Pete contacted us in the lock as we were waiting for it to open and said he would inform Brighton we were on our way. When we arrived they were expecting us and our fobs were already programmed for Brighton- very efficient! It was quiet on the visitors pontoons and very pleasant, no grounding either although we were on neaps. Our trip back was against the tide so took more like 5 hours, and it was easterlies too. Must admit it was damn cold overnight and on the water, our flotation suits came into their own!

Lovely sea!
