We had Hurkur out in November last year for her annual spruce up, instead of Spring this year. Various jobs to do including anti-fouling the bottom, something we aren’t used to, as she was copper coated before. Back on her mooring beginning of January and since then Eddie has installed a new diesel heater, taking out the old original one that had given up. He got a Russian made one which was very reasonable and relatively easy to install. The sails are back on now and just a few more jobs to do before we set off again in the Spring. We’ve got a trip to Spain to fit in before that though. (Flying there of course!)
Plans at the moment are to leave late Spring and head West, to eventually join up with the WOA Summer Cruise starting in Dartmouth early June. Weather is absolutely freezing at the moment so we’re looking forward to the Spring.
