We’ve managed to fit in a few day sails since our return home, taking advantage of the best days. We had some really lovely sailing in force 3’s and calm seas, and took out Eddie cousin Andy and Jim his son, for some fishing – a successful trip, with quite a few Plaice caught, not to mention the one that got away – a very large Thornback! Prior to that we had a couple of trips out ourselves, the second one being successful too with more Plaice caught, which ended up in the freezer. Then the granddaughters came to stay and we had a little trip out with them and a sleep on the boat which they always enjoy. September is here now, so I expect sailing will be few and far between. We had hoped to get to Brighton for a few days, but I don’t think that will be happening until next year.
