We had excellent weather for our South East Cluster walk around Rye Harbour on Saturday – warm dry and breezy, can’t believe its mid October! We all gathered at the café for a coffee first, then were allowed to have a look round the Lifeboat Station there. Afterwards we set off on our walk along the river up to the beach and a round journey back – must have walked about 4 miles altogether. There were nine from our cluster there so not a bad turn out and a very pleasant day. We all came back to the café afterwards for a much needed lunch and cup of tea, before we all went our separate ways. Eddie and I popped into Rye town for a while afterwards, then headed home as Hastings were having their fireworks that evening and closing the road from 6pm which we wanted to avoid.
