Thwarted!

We set off for Chichester almost two weeks ago with a one day weather window (or so we thought).  But there were strong wind warnings, which continued all week.  Left at 6.30 am and Eastbourne Bay was very benign, but by the time we had reached Cuckmere Haven the sea and wind were up, and we didn’t fancy two weeks in Brighton, or tackling the Looe Channel in a 6, so turned for home.  We drove down to the Southampton Boat Show in the end, with Gill and Dave in their car, and manned the WOA stand between us.  The next day we drove back down in our car to the Chichester Rally which was preceded by the Nab Tower race.  Both days went very well, but tiring.  I even won a Henri Lloyd cruising jacket from Premier Marinas, which is being delivered to Sovereign some time this week!
